I am very grateful for the care and professionalism shown by Mr Srivastava and his colleagues during my stay in the John Radcliffe hospital for open heart surgery to repair the mitral valve in January 2023.  Now, six months later, I am delighted by the resulting improvement in my health

The treatment I received from Mr Srivastava both before, during and after surgery for mitral valve repair was absolutely outstanding. He showed great professionalism, care and commitment, and I was made to feel reassured and valued. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

You had short notice (1 hour) of my bypass operation and explained to my wife and family the process and its duration. You said you would call my wife after the operation which you did providing peace of mind that the procedure went as well as could be expected.
In your one-on-one dealings with me and my family you were not only professional but just as importantly showed a level of care and understanding which was very much appreciated especially by my wife. We take this opportunity to once more, thank you very much for your skill and care which has I am sure, given me a much better life expectancy.
FG - In September 2022 I was diagnosed with a severe, faulty Mitral Valve which required surgery for repair.
I was allocated to Mr Vivek Srivastava's list and was very pleased to meet him for a discussion in early November 2022. Mr Srivastava has a special interest in mitral valve surgery, especially mitral valve repair.
The meeting with Mr Srivastava was very informative, covering all aspects of the operation and post- operative care. Despite my concerns about my health, Mr Srivastava put me at ease, answered all my questions & explained everything in detail - this was really reassuring for me.
I was admitted for surgery in March 2023 and the level of care that I received throughout was superb. Post operation, Mr Srivastava visited me twice or three times each day, both in the Critical Care Unit and on the Cardiac ward. He monitored medication, procedural processes & answered any questions or concerns that I had.
I would thoroughly recommend Mr Srivastava for his exceptional skills & knowledge but also for his care and empathy towards his patients.

I cannot speak highly enough of the care I received from Mr. Srivastava and his team when he performed a quadruple heart bypass (CABG) on me at the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford. Mr. Srivastava carefully explained the procedure in advance. The operation was a success with minimal scarring and pain-free. During the 5 days of post-operative care I was treated with every kindness and professionalism.

I would like to say thank you and how good and professional my whole experience was dealing with you everything was explained to me in a way that I understand and helped me through the whole process and I thank the Dr and his team for there patience and I would highly recommend him he was one amazing man thank you regards

Overall the treatment l received was excellent, only criticism l have was the wait time for the Operation which l know was compounded by COVID and NHS strikes which were out of anybody’s control. Mr Srivastava was first class from the moment l first met him in December 2022.

The wait time from diagnosis of the need for surgery (July 2022) and the operation taking place (April 2023) was quite long but in the current climate of under - resourced services understandable and in my case tolerable. Even so I feel I can't award five stars in this category.

I consider myself very fortunate to have been a patient of Mr Vivek Srivastava. He performed a mitral valve repair operation on me & his expertise, knowledge, care, empathy & communication was superb. I have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending him to anyone requiring surgery

Mr srivastava an amazing person and surgeon he was totally professional and caring from my 1st appointment through to my triple heart bypass explained very thoroughly all I can say is him and his team were fantastic people thanks again for my 2nd chance

I had a heart problem. I was referring to John Radcliffe and after test was seen by Dr Srivastava he discussed my problem along with the treatment and the associated risks and benefit. This meeting left me in on doubt that this man was very skilled and really put my mind at rest
